COME ALONG AND SING THIS SONG ART

Six passionate Chelsea fans got together at the beginning of 2022 to start work on a 'SHOOT ANNUAL STYLE' book of the iconic 1983/84 season. It was the original idea of MARK WORRALL carried along with enthusiasm by MARK MEEHAN who then got KELVIN BARKER, DAVID JOHNSTONE, NEIL SMITH and myself RICHARD SCHALLER to get involved with the same level of enthusiasm. I would do the illustrations to add colour and graphics to the great writing from the others. I was just happy to work with some of the best Chelsea authors around. Content for the book was also provided by Hugh Hastings, John Drewitt and Simon Lyons. After months of hard work the result was a unique and colourful limited edition book COME ALONG AND SING THIS SONG. A season very special to Chelsea fans back then and those who are still here today to remember. It culminated in a special 1983/84 players reunion event held at the UNDER THE BRIDGE venue in May 2023. Over 400 fans attended to watch and listen to some memorable stories from those great players involved along with special guest ex chairman Ken Bates himself and hosted by Pat Nevin. A wonderful evening indeed. Now, I'm happy to make the artwork available from the book and all signed by me.
